Rear Guard is an arcade game that is so named because you are flying a ship ahead of your enemies, and you have to protect yourself from opponents coming up on your rear. You have a shield (limited time), as well as being able to fire. If you start a new shot off before the old one is complete, the old one disappears. There are many levels to the game; basically, you will get a new (and different) set of opponents on each level.
Coniah Software, which made this game, is also the author of Sea Dragon.
