Dungeon of Death is an ambitious attempt at a Dungeons and Dragons game done at the end of 1982/beginning of 1983. Only 16K was required, and it had 3 programs that were each ran separately - One to make and your character (or characters; you were allowed up to 6 in your party), one to equip them, and then the main game play program, where you enter dungeon. It used low res semi-graphics to show hallways, doors, etc. and prompted you with what options you have for each. It would then animate your party moving through corridors, etc. The game was complex enough (especially since it was crammed to fit into 16K), so that you still had to keep track of some things on paper, but the overall game presents surprisingly well. It features multiple characters and character classes/races, weapons, armor, spells, etc.
