Curse of Crowley Manor is a text adventure game from Adventure International. It's one of their "Other-Venture" series (#2); that means that it does not use Scott Adams own adventure game engine, but original engines by other authors. In this adventure game, which takes plae in London, England in 1913, you have to solve a murder at the Crowley Manor estate, and, as Adventure International's own ad copy said, "What starts out as a simple homicide investigation turns into a trip into the depths of the occult as you try to solve The Curse of Crowley Manor". It has a nice layout (regular messages on the top, middle for your commands, and the bottom reserved for special messages in inversed video). It had save game features, and it's author was famous for adventure games from several companies including a few for Screenplay for the Coco a few years after this one, and many more for the Model 1 and 3. I suspect the title was inspired by real life occultist, Aleister Crowley.
It should be noted that this game was re-released for some other platforms a little later, adding graphics.
