Currillian Cruiser is an original arcade game, where you travel between planets, each with their own multi-stage missions (which are displayed on the top of the map screen, as you go from planet to planet). In the first mission, for example, you first have to fly through an asteroid field to get to the planet. Then, you have to land on the ship platform to open the path to underwater city, then fly through the tube connecting to it, navigate to the landing pad in the city, land, then take off again, and navigate your way back up into space. For the second planet, instead of flying through an asteroid belt, you must dodge alien interceptors that come in diagonally at you, which is more difficult (and your ship wraps around on either side of the screen). The game features very different game play between the various scenarios within a mission, keeping the game play interesting. The ultimate goal is obtain various military items from the various scientific research vessels on each planet.
