Lorraine A. Linser, age 86, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, formerly of Coleraine, Minnesota died Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Sugar Brook Villa Assisted Living, Cohasset, Minnesota. Lorraine was born in 1924 in Bovey, Minnesota to Edwin and Anna Wick. She attended school in Bovey. She was employed with the U.S. Post Office in Bovey, Minnesota from 1942 until 1948. Lorraine was united in marriage to Earhart Linser on September 11, 1948. She was employed with Dairyland Electric in the billing department for many years prior to her retirement in 1989. She was an active member of Bethel-Trinity Lutheran Church, the Committee on Aging, and Coleraine Senior Citizens. Lorraine volunteered at Grand Village, the YMCA Bruce Bauer Senior Center, and Van Dyke Elementary School. She was awarded Itasca County Volunteer of the Year and was runner-up for volunteer of the year for the State of Minnesota in 2008. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, and most of all spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earhart in 1995; and two brothers, Norman and Sam Wick. Lorraine is survived by one daughter, Lynette (Steve) Feyma of LaPrairie, Minnesota; two sons, Tom Linser of Cohasset, Minnesota and Daniel (Laura) Linser of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one brother, Melvin (Faith) Wick of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Stephanie Feyma, Amanda (Soren Kasperson) Feyma, Amy (Paul Masheimer) Linser, and Lori Linser; two great grandchildren, Jocelyn Sutherland and Ben Masheimer; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, Minnesota and will continue at church on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Memorial Service in Bethel-Trinity Lutheran Church, Bovey, Minnesota. Rev. Judith Anderson-Bauer and Vicar Mark Wagner will co-officiate.
