I'm using the ftdd.dd desciptor and vrn.dr driver from vrn.ar. Every time I try to run FS2, I get an error 202, interrupt polling table full. When I run the tstfs2 program, it usually works, but sometimes it also give the same error 202. My system consists of a 512K cc3, a disto super controller II, and 2 disk drives. My bootup terminal is an 80 col text screen. I'm really getting tired of re-booting every time I want to run FS2. How do I get this program to run in a VDG window??? If you want to fix your current Init module, all you have to do is patch the byte at offset $000C. Change it from a $0F (or whatever) to $0C, and then verify the CRC. That should fix you up. The trouble is that my back up does not boot nor does it respond to the chd or chx commands for running. I boot up on my Cave Walker disk and then exit and chd /d0 chx /d0/cmds on my master disk and get it started then I switch over to my backup . If this sounds somewha what clumsy ---it is and occasionally I get a 232 error which is a crc error at which time I retry. Also I would like to get Rogue up and going again this disk has 232 error and the Zapper does not fix it. I hope that this is go good enough for you to help. P.S. I CAN NOT BACK UP UNDER ANY METHOD INCLUDING L I OR L II OR R.S. If you are using Level II some of the older book's things may not work for you but it's still a good source. Both books have optional disks that will spare you from typing in everything. I only have the Level II book and it's helped me a great deal. If you're interested in Basic-09, Rainbow's Basic-09 Tour Guide is another to get, and it too has a disk. If you have any copies of Rainbow around, the order form is in there (though the prices may not be current if you're looking at an old issue). Your loacl Radio Shack may have a copy or two lying around, so go there first. I have both 3 1/2 " & 5 1/4 " diskettes formatted in MW universal format and which are to be filled with various library software. On wuarchive (wuarchive.wustl.edu) the os9 archives can be found in /systems/os9. This is accessable via NFS or FTP. Another archive site would be hermit.cs.wisc.edu . This one has a mail server that can be contacted with a 'help' command sent to ftp@hermit.cs.wisc.edu. I presently maintain wuarchive, so inquires can be addressed to me at steve@wuarchive.wustl.edu.
